If the motor works then it is probably the nylon cord has become separated from the mast which usually requires a new mast. As the motor rotates, it winds up or feeds out the cord to extend or retract the mast. There is a small wire soldered to the mast and the cable screw in port. Carefully remove the port from the mast and then unsolder the wire from the mast. The tube must be removed from the motor housing. When reassembling this mess back together, feed the nylon cord into the drum (preferably with power, or not) until most of the slack has been taken up. Carefully solder the wire onto the mast and place the port back onto the tube, then fasten the tube to the motor housing and test before installing into the vehicle. That is sort of how it goes. P.S. Criticism expected.

I've never tore into one of these and I know they're not cheap so I think I'll give Klaus a call first. Thanks I may be back for your help. Tony

How original do you need to be? You can use a modern power antenna with the dash switch with the addition of a diode.

I used this antenna to replace the faulty one in my 96 98. It's been working great for over a year.

Amazon Amazon

It wouldn't be 100% correct for your 67 442, but nobody would find out unless the guy with the red beard told them.
