oil pressure sensor location

Hi,

The oïl pressure dash board light does not light up on my 69 Cutlass.

Before embarking in trying to replace the bulb (which means removing the dashboard ?), I want to make sure that the oïl pressure sensor works but I can't find it.

Do you know where it is located ?

Regards

Locate the oil fill tube on the front of the engine. Note that it is pressed into a small "shelf" above the water pump. The oil pressure sensor is on the other side (driver's side of the engine) of this "shelf" with a single wire going to it.

Here's a simple test. With the key in the RUN position, ground the wire that goes to the oil pressure switch. If the light comes on, the sender is bad.
