Last year when my engine was put on the dyno and the carb tuned, this was done in Denver. I have since driven it to Newport, which is about 20% more atmosphere.
I had O hangers and BD secondary rods, and today I changed them out for a G hanger and CK secondaries.
What a difference! Man - she smokes!

I also had another welcome effect. I had had some pinging on heavy acceleration at WOT, going up hills and passing. I was hoping that a richer secondary circuit would fix that - and it did!! No more pinging.

 

That makes sense.

 

Excellent! The Quadrajet is an awsome carburetor. There are so many ways to tune it.
