I need help decoding my tag

This was my uncle's vehicle before passing away he handed it down to me. I'm planning on restoring it but I need help reading the tag. Please anyone can help it would be much appreciated thank you.

I moved this to your own thread - that prior thread was from 2014.

ST72 = 1972 model year
34257 = Oldsmobile (3) Cutlass Supreme (42) Holiday Coupe (57)
LAN = Lansing assembly plant
539961 BDY = Fisher Body sequence number

TR 979 = Trim Saddle bucket seat interior
81 F PNT = Bamboo (81) lower body color with Saddle Tan (F) vinyl top

06D = built fourth week (D) of June (06) 1972
A51 = bucket seats
B85 = bright side window sill moldings

Wow thank you so much. I really appreciate it I've never worked on an Oldsmobile but I worked on a 64 Impala. So I'm just trying to bring this baby back to life it was sitting in a shed because my uncle was sick he couldn't do it. Since he passed away I'm just trying to find my connection and plus I love the car it's amazing.
