Hood release retaining clip

I need help finding a part number for a 1970 Olds Delta 88.

I am looking for the metal clip that attaches the hood release pull rod
to the hood latch for a 1970 Olds Delta 88.

I believe it is similar to the clips in the attached picture, but I'm not
100% sure. My local NAPA has come up empty.

I believe the same hood release assembly was used across all
GM B-bodies.

I appreciate the help.

Go to a different parts store and look in the HELP section, or ask. They are very common.

I don't think that is the correct clip. I think it is the same as Cutlasses from that era. It is more of a flat clip with a round hole that the rod end slides into & then slip the clip over to lock it in place. I have some NOS ones somewhere & some good used ones too. I'll dig some out tomorrow maybe & get a picture to you? Do you just need one? Maybe take a picture of the parts where it mounts so we can be sure?

Thanks. I'll try to get some pics next week. The car is in pieces in my buddy's shop right now.

I've got a 1970 Delta 88 parts car and it has the flat clips that Scott is describing. Sorry, my computer is acting up and I can't upload photos right now. But I believe Scott has the one you need. John

This is the flat clip I was thinking

http://www.fusickautomotiveproducts....?number=HRH690

The clip slips over a rectangular tab with two holes
One hole engages the tang of this retainer and secures it
The other hole accepts the rod end, which is retained by this clip.

Just saw the same thing on the door latch rods on the 78 Vette.

These retainers are tough to remove without breaking here in MI.

aha

$15 delivered for TWO allegedly GM parts
