I don't think that is the correct clip. I think it is the same as Cutlasses from that era. It is more of a flat clip with a round hole that the rod end slides into & then slip the clip over to lock it in place. I have some NOS ones somewhere & some good used ones too. I'll dig some out tomorrow maybe & get a picture to you? Do you just need one? Maybe take a picture of the parts where it mounts so we can be sure?
I've got a 1970 Delta 88 parts car and it has the flat clips that Scott is describing. Sorry, my computer is acting up and I can't upload photos right now. But I believe Scott has the one you need. John
The clip slips over a rectangular tab with two holes
One hole engages the tang of this retainer and secures it
The other hole accepts the rod end, which is retained by this clip.
Just saw the same thing on the door latch rods on the 78 Vette.
These retainers are tough to remove without breaking here in MI.
