Expansion Valve Capillary Tube

I have a questions about the routing of the capillary tubing for the expansion valve in a factory AC system. In pursuit of neatness, I wrapped the excess capillary tubing around the evaporator discharge line; this hides the extra tubing under the cork tacky tape. It seems most people just coil up the additional tubing. To be clear, I used the extra small tubing from the TXV to wrap the bulb against the evaporator tube. Will this affect cooling performance?

Most guys just coil the extra capillary tubing - see green arrow.

I wrapped the extra tubing around the bulb at the end of the TXV tubing in a serpentine fashion.

I doubt it will make any difference. The bulb on the end of the tubing is where the temperature measurement is most critical.

No difference as long as the tube isn’t crimped, too bad we can’t buy the OEM version..
Good luck on your build.
