Ok....had to drop a header to get to control arm bolts.....in my 45 years, I have never replaced or installed an exhaust gasket! I have a set of ROL gaskets, and the exhaust gaskets are metallic on one side, plain on the other....my question is stupid...but which side should go toward the block? do I use any type of sealant? My old paper one looked to have sealant on it, which I thought was a no no.....ant advice would be appreciated.
