Electrical Problem - 62 starfire convertible

Restoring a 1962 starfire convertible. Have electrical problem question to someone who might know. After we put the top down and drive the car for a while, when we go to put the top back up, it goes a 1/4 of the way up and then stops. When I try the switch again same thing until it stops all together and I get nothing when I click the switch. Other weird thing is that then the windows and power seat stop working as well. After leaving the car sit for an hour, then they both work again. I know the power windows and seat have a relay, but didn't think that did anything for the top. If anyone may have any suggestions, that would be great. Thanks.

Ha ha. Thanks, but do you know Rick, does that relay have anything to do with the convertible top motor as well?

Does the pump stop together? If not could be low on fluid?

Thanks will check that too, but like I say, when the power top stops working, so do the windows and power seat.

I suspect that the top and windows all go through the same circuit breaker, like on the late-sixties cars, and that that circuit breaker is, as Rickman said, tired.
