Looks like I struck out in the parts wanted section so looking to see if anyone has experience with fixing this part.

Car is a ‘63 F85 and the part is the passenger side (if side orientation matters) interior door handle return spring assembly.

With 4R5’s help I was able to determine it’s called the “Control Assembly” and is in group 10.500 in a parts catalog. Part number could also be 4834043 for RH for the paddle type lever 61-63 F85, Cutlass Coupe, convertible, Jetfire.

All that being said, here’s a few pics of my assembly. You can see the splines that the paddle door handle attaches to and everything else is under the door panel voted to the door. The problem is the return spring on mine broke so the paddle won’t return down or up.

Does this assembly come apart so I can make a new spring or buy one if I can find it and then re assemble and bolt in the door?
