Dash bead
I bought some half round 3m double stick chrome 1/8" wide striping at advanced auto I think it was a 15 or 20 foot roll for about $14.
I used less than half of it for the dash bead on my 72, It looks very close to the original bead and fits the 'channel' for the bead perfectly
The repop dash bead w mounting tabs was about $75, that was more than I wanted to spend for a little bling, but $14 fit the budget and looks good too

Yes Henry, I replaced mine. Make sure after removal of the old one, to clean the area of any glue or armor-all. I used a good solvent silicone remover....I then used a hair dryer to make the replacement easier to maneuver. Just do a dry run first. I don't think I used any adhesive as I think it had its own. Has been on there for at least 12 years with no issues....
