Don't confuse the aluminum CanAm motors (which were pushrod motors) with the W-43 and OW-43 four valve motors. Both have been documented repeatedly, as about once a year someone "discovers" them. Google around, you'll find reprints of magazine articles from the 1960s and early 70s. The May 1971 issue of Hot Rod had a lengthy article about the W-43. Only a handful of experimental parts were every made before the program was killed. Most of those reside in the REO Museum. Given enough zeros on the check, one could likely be bought.
