dohc v8

anyone ever thought about fitting a pair of 4 cyl. heads to olds v8?

Why? Ignoring things like cylinder bore spacing, head bolt locations, and cam drive, it still doesn't make any sense. Do the math.

About the largest four valve four cylinder motor built is 2.5 liters. That's well under half the displacement of even a 350 Olds 5.7 L, let alone a 455 (7.5 L). Two four valve heads can't flow enough air to support an Olds V8.

If you want a four valve DOHC Olds motor, get an Aurora.
