A/C Delete Blower Resistor
A/C Delete Blower Resistor
Deleting the A/C on my 1970 Cutlass Supreme. Have already rebuilt the original AC box and installed with an aftermarket AC delete cover on the firewall side. I have a new blower relay. Trying to figure out which blower resistor I would need (AC vs Non-AC) and where that would get mounted. I have a CSM but it doesn't specify for my situation.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In my ‘66’s the key question is whether your heater switch has 3 positions (for the heater only system) or 4 positions (for the heater +AC system).
If it were me and my dash switch had 4 speed settings, I’d use the 4 pin AC resistor block, just to match the switch.

Despite the delete cover, you still have to use the A/C control head because of the vacuum-operated flapper doors in the under-dash box. This control head has four fan speeds (non-A/C control heads only have three fan speeds). You must use the resistor that matches the control head, which is the A/C resistor.
