brakes

just one more try to cure my brake problem, if I am driving my 65 starfire and I press on the brakes, they are hard as a rock and very hard to stop, but if I put my shift into neutral , they work great, I have tried 3 power boosters and 2 master cylinders, I have tried every thing I know, any help would be appreciated. thanks very much for the help. will.

This is a tough one! Knowing what changes when the gear shift is put in neutral would be a clue. I find it difficult to understand how the two could be related. Pursuing this tack could be a case of "chasing ghosts"?

I have no answers and do look forward to hearing the solution, once it is found!

Sounds like a loss of vacuum issue. Maybe start with a vacuum gauge on the booster hose and see what's actually happening?
