Definitely 66 67 possibly 68 Chevy 4 bbl air cleaner

 

i would say 68.my 66 chevelle didn't have the hole for the heat tube off the ex manifold/

 

I don't know Chevies too much.

GM parts book from October 1966 shows the number 6423262 fitting 1967 Chevelle and El Camino 327 (exc. closed vent system) w/ Rochester carb.

The 6423263, one number up from that, fit the same cars but FOR the closed vent system w/Rochester carb).

This place says it's 66 327 Q-jet without smog or closed vent system. Needs to use the front tube oil fill breather cap.

second pic,bottom side of the snorkel,my 66 396 car did not have that hole.and my sister had a 66 impala with 275 h.p. 327 and it did not have a hole either.could be california only.

 

That's probably why the parts book showed it fitting 67 chevelle and el camino 327 only without the closed vent system. Maybe that's why it has a hole in it? I'm betting the part number on your 396 is different, too.
