Aftermarket Rad and Electric Fans

Hello.
I have a 71 455 out of a 88 in my 69 cutlass rag (stock as far as I have been told).
I have a non clutch fan that is high performance and it is so loud that I dont even hear the motor or exhaust when I am over 2k rpm. I would like to get rid of that fan and replace it with electric fans. Has anyone on these forums done so? I have found some on Ebay very inexpensive. I worry about the old
"you get what you pay for"
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Has anyone done this without fear of overheating.

(my apologies if this in the wrong spot.)

You can use a dual fan setup from a 98-04 Dodge Intrepid, Chrysler Concorde or 300.
It makes a very nice fit, is two speed. Set one speed to operate from temp control and the second to come on with A/C if you have it. If no A/C, the second speed can be hooked to a manual switch for extra cooling in heavy traffic. They are fairly plentiful in bone yards or you can buy a new replacement set on line for a reasonable price. JEGS has the control packages.

I am using the standard 3-core replacement rad due to the A/C and a fuel injection set-up on my 425ci which requires a 195 degree thermostat. It runs up to about 210 degrees in standing traffic.
