Question 77-90 RWD BC Body IP Cluster

Delta 88 (77-85) - Ninety Eight (77-84) & Custom Cruiser (77-90) .....

Anybody have an IP cluster laying around from one of these within easy reach ?.

Was wondering what the dimensions on one of these are.

A pic of the backside wouldn't upset me either.

TIA

Still wondering about this.

In case anyone is assuming I own one of these cars at the present & they are thinking :

"Hey - instead of being so lazy ... why not just take the time to remove yours & just measure it already ?".

Well, I would be more than happy to do that... but I do not own one at the present time.

I was just wanting to know the size of the cluster for ideas on a possible swap and/or modification in the future.

I have a set, but not for sale.

What measurements do you need?

Set ?.

Just to confirm we're on the same page ....

I am referring to the rectangular standard IP cluster itself all cars had ...

NOT
the rare 3-gauge option pack underneath that ... if that's what you were thinking.

I'd like to know :

How wide it is left-right ?.
How tall it is it top-bottom ?.
How deep is it ? (ex - how far into the dash cavity does it go ?).

Photos of the front & back would probably help as well.

OK I have the rare 3 gauge option, however that one is in my car, the orginal one I have does not have the gauges, and is under my bedroom sink, right in front (takes all of 2 seconds to get to)

The dash panel I'm thinking of has a hole in it for the speedo and a round hole in the bottom for the steering column.

It's the actual cluster assembly itself I'm interested in the dimensions of.

Thanks.

I don't suppose I could bother you for the depth ?.
(how much room it needs in/behind the dash)

And lastly .....

Maybe a photo of the backside showing the circuit board layout & connecter ?.

Pic of the rear, no problem.

Circut board? Never seen one in a Delta dash.

Depth? I can measure the bottom of the opening, it does curve up, but minus the plastic, the speedo is flush at the bottom and a few inches from the top.

It took a long time to clean up that plastic sheild from all that ciggy smoke. My car was NASTY when I bought it. One swipe on the dash with an Armor All wipe, the wipe was yellow After cleaning, I had to take a shower

I thought it would have had some type of circuit board on the back.

When I say board .... I mean a flat flexible sheet of sorts.

Yea smoking in a car certainly does a number on things.

Funny thing with these clusters is the back of it is part of the dashboard itself. I'm pretty sure there is a printed circuit back there. You can remove the speedometer and gauges but to get behind it to remove the bulb sockets is a big project if I remember from seeing the service manual.
