72 Toro Alternator Question

It is well known that for the 72 model year the w29 optioned A bodies reverted to an externally regulated alternator since the 442 body style was eliminated that year. Also, it is documented that 88's and 98's did not receive the internally regulated alternator till 1973.
So what about Toros in that model year? The 72 PIM illustrates that harness connector is arranged as for the internally regulated alternator. Were any Toros prior to 1973 internally regulated? Thanks

Toros got the 10SI internally regulated alternators starting in 1969, same as the 442s. The Toronado wiring diagram in the 1972 CSM shows an internally regulated alternator. The Cutlass diagram shows the external regulator in that same CSM.
