72 Rear Power Window

On a 1972 Convertible GM "A" Body. Any repair procedure info on how to fix the rear power window if it fell off the track?

The procedure is discussed in the Fisher Body Manual. It's not difficult, just time consuming. You need to remove the back seat so you can remove the arm rest cover and interior side panel, which gives you access to the window mechanism. Usually, if the window is off the track, it's because one of the plastic rollers has broken.

I found the problem. The plastic roller that attaches to that arm, broke off (see thumb and index finger)

Where can I find the little plastic piece and does it simply pop in or do I have to remove that arm?

I called Fusick and they DO NOT carry that plastic roller piece. They only carry this which is not what I need...

After more research. It appears Original Parts Group sells a roller with a 15/16" roller diameter but it DOES NOT include a thread stud & nut. It's on a rivet stud which is useless as a specialty tool would be required to install it.

I found a Dorman replacement roller that comes with a stud and threads & nut. So as long as the roller is the same size, I will have to drill out the rivet stud on the metal regulator arm and then install the new roller with stud & nut.
