330 #3 heads valley pan gasket

How about the correct 1966 330 #3 head part number for the valley pan gasket, the Victor Reinz #MS15925 sure aint the one, this has the locator holes top side my 330 are below the ports this is the second wrong gasket I have got. The first one the bozos gave me a beuwick. I am guessing again Fel-pro 96009? I need a frosty adult beverage.

That would be the pn for the valley pan, there is also a 4 peice steel shim gasket that fits your car if it has a small tray bolted in the lifter galley, MS9947-1, I like this one.

Thanks, I am using an Edelbrock intake so the stock pan is not an option.

Then I would use a Mr Gasket or Felpro, fiber high performance gasket.

Educate me...

Why can't the stock pan gasket be used with an Edelbrock intake? I've seen this refered to elsewhere. Just trying to learn here.

The stock valley pan or tray on 330's up to mid 1967 is a steel pan that is bolted to the lifter galley and is not part of the intake gasket. The Edelbrock intake manifold will not clear the raised ends of the steel pan.

Zactly, I know of people who use the 4 piece shim gasket set with an aluminum intake, however with the unlike metals and uneven cooling and heating I prefer a fiber gasket.
