1982 Regency Brougham Fuel Pump

Has anyone had issues with fuel pump on 98, my electric pump has stopped working and I believe it is located on top of fuel tank. Does it have a separate fuse? Can you get to it through the trunk or do you have to drop tank? Cheers guys

Regular old gasoline cars have a mechanical fuel pump bolted onto the passenger side of the engine block.

You should be able to buy one at any auto parts store.

Unless it's fuel injected, it should have a mechanical fuel pump which would be on the front of the block. They are like 30 bucks. One of the easiest jobs you'll do.

The only engines offered in the 1982 Ninety Eights were the 350 diesel and the 307 gas engines. The latter used the CCC Qjet and a mechanical pump.

Did the 350 diesel use the same mechanical fuel pump to move diesel fuel to the injector pump?

Sorry to hi-jack the thread.
