Vista Cruiser been great doubling as kids occassional school transport last 8+ years. Then just other day, can start in Park and shift to Reverse but not Neutral or forward gears. Firm resistance just before Neutral. Loosened shift linkage rod adjustment screw, removed equalizer bar and able to twist to all gears by hand so transmission likely good and issue upstream in steering column. Orange dash indicator intact and turn signals work but planning next disassembling top of column to see if something broke and binding inside lever bowl. Thought search here first but results of issues opposite of being able to only go between P and R. Also should I add any lubricant down shift tube/steering shaft? BTW, 1968 Cutlass/442 service manual refers Sec 9 Page 105 for column assembly but this old Millenium reprint has list of parts number as that page. Appreciate if someone can forward column (with tilt) assembly page or refer a better manual.
