1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass S automatic column shift wire for indicator

Hello

i’m looking for the wire that connects the column to the shifter indicator as mine is missing it’s for a 1968 cutlass S

Just to clarify, are you looking for the little wire hook that runs from the column to the speedo, or the column shift linkage that runs from the column to the trans? Your title says one thing, your post says a different thing.

Does it look like a paper clip that screws into column or does it have a tab or something

As I recall it looks like a pulled apart paper clip where one end goes into a hole on the spring-loaded gear indicator tab on the back of the speedometer and whose other end fits on the metal piece attached to the steering column.

Column shift automatic hook needed

Thank you to matt68F-85he was able to provide me with the link so now I’m looking for anyone who might have the hook that attaches to the column thank you for your help

I was wondering do 68 to 72 use the same hook for a column or is it 68 to 69 as I’m still looking any help will be greatly appreciated

68-69 is a different P/N than 70-72

i may have that hook, it will take some time as a stripped a 68 yrs ago and kept every nut and bolt. i have buckets i need to look thru!
