Does the vista cruiser have a specific column in it? I wanted to upgrade to tilt, can I buy a tilting column for any A body? For one designed for a cutlass?

 

Assuming your car is an automatic on the column, there are 4 different columns available in the 1969-'72 A body for cars with automatic trans. They are column shift, column shift with tilt, floor shift, & floor shift with tilt. As long as it is a column shift with tilt from a '69-'72 A body(Cutlass, Lemans, Skylark, Malibu), it should be a direct bolt in for your Vista. You might want or not want to change the shifter lever, turn signal lever & tilt lever to Oldsmobile specific versions if you care about being "correct".

 

The VC is an A-body. From the front seats forward it is identical to any similar year Cutlass four door.

 

I have a '70 VC that was a column shift. it has been converted to tilt and his/hers console shift. I also put in 200R4. Everything sorted out, let me know if there is anything I can share.
