Edelbrock Air Gap Intake
I have one on a 68. It hits the hood insulation but it does clear with no issues per se. You can see where the hood insulation has gotten the air cleaner housing smudged or dirty. Do a search of this subject because I'm sure it has been discussed here before.

thanks, any issue with the distributor cap fit, as i recall older holley intakes had to be smoothen out for hei set up.. from a performance aspect would you say its the one to have for an aftermarket intake, what are some pros and if any cons? by the way nice build on the engine, which headers did you go with?
I bought the Air gap with the Edelbrock intake, cam, and heads combo. It really worked well on my Vette so I decided to go with the same package on my Cutlass. 525 lift cam. Very nice. I have zero fitment issues with the distributor cap. After I dialed in the MSD Billet distributor by placing the correct donut to limit complete advance and putting in the lighter springs, the car has instantaneous throttle response. I had a friend comment on the snap of the motor after he had to move it to get to one of his cars. He said he wanted his Mopar to run like that. I told him it couldn't because it's a Mopar!
As far as being the right one for your car, all your components must work together and be matched for your application. You need to figure this out for yourself.
I don't remember the headers I chose. They are not Hooker, I know that for sure. There are no markings on them so you're on your own. They hang down a good piece. I have aftermarket suspension on the car and it is as tight as a drum. I have yet to drag the headers even with an inch drop on the suspension.
