Looking for a 1956 Starfire ?

Here is one for sale in the Sacramento area. Looks to be prices like they were going eight or nine years ago, a bit high for me....Tedd...http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/5012950206.html

Great looking car though I do like the 55's better. Someone a while back was wondering how to put dual exhaust on a 55(should be the same as a 56). There are some excellent photos in this ad that show how it's done.

Somewhat different and difficult. The 55 has a large vacuum tank that causes all the problem. If you mount the vacuum tank on the outboard side of the frame rail things get easier but it looks sorta half assed. Or if you run both exhaust pipes together at the front of the engine then split them again somewhere near the X frame then run the left one through the X frame and out through the spring perch then back to the inboard side of the frame this gets the pipe up and out of the way of the gas tank and into it's should be place .Its harder than it sounds especially if you own a muffler shop and have to bend all this.....Tedd
