HELP!!*75 hurst olds T-TOP Aluminium clamps that secure T-Top Frame-NEED Advise
I am in need of advise on how the t top frames are assembled to the roof body on a 1975 Hurst Olds (Hurst Hatch). When I got the car the t top frames were removed. I have links to my photo bucket pics below & attachments on this thread to show you the 10 threaded clamps I have but I don't know if there are more than 10 clamps total (5 for each side) used to secure both t top frames to the roof or what??? DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA ABOUT HOW THE THREADED ALUMINIUM CLAMPS THAT SECURE T TOP FRAME TO ROOF BODY WORK? ANY INFO WOULD BE AWESOME. A guy who did my body work took the t tops off frames off the car and gave me all parts back but he is now M.I.A. which is typical. At this time I don't have any idea of how the clamps secure t top frames and how many clamps are needed to secure the t top frames on each side.
Any help or advise on this matter would be very much appreciated!!
Here are links to my photo bucket that have the pictures of t tops, t top frames & clamps etc. I also included attachments on this thread.

I have heard that there maybe 10 clamps needed for each t top frame but not a 100% reliable source. So if that is the case I am SOL because I only have 10 of these aluminum threaded clamps or blocks total. Does any one out there have in info on how many of these clamps or blocks are needed to secure each t top frame to roof body or does anyone have any of these aluminum clamps/blocks shown in picture below.
Thanks for your help and support!

Mike,
I believe I still have the instruction book on installing the Hurst Hatches for a 79 Cutlass which will show how many clips are used. That should give you a pretty good idea of what you need. I'll look it up and report back.
I know someone who may have the aluminum clips and will check with him. Or, send him a PM as he is on CO. BlueCalais79.

Mike,
Found the manual and scanned a few pages from it. Aside from the aluminum trim, you should have 2 U shaped Steel flat spacers that will fit against the underside of the roof skin. The bolts/screws in the aluminum clips will seat against this spacer. Looks like you will need quite a few more clips. If these are too small to see, send me you email and I will email the attachments to you. Remember this manual is for a 79 Cutlass and I think the earlier tops were a little different. This should give you the idea of what you need to do. Also, make sure you run a bead of clear silicone on the roof panel/under the extruded aluminum surround trim before installing them for the final time so water doesn't get in under them.

Brian you are the MAN! YES I think you are talking about the steel stock that has to go between the screw/bolts on the aluminum clips and the skin on the interior of the roofs body where the headliner clips to.
My email is acn_rep123@yahoo.com. if you could email me a larger image would be a great help. I also sent bluecalais79 a PM about needing more aluminum clips.
You have some really good karma headed your way man! Thanks a million,

I already responded via email. Thanks brian I can't thank you enough for this installation manual this is exactly what I needed, Im am so STOKED...
Now all I have to do is get my parts together. looks like I am 12 clamps short based on the parts list which calls for 24 clamps. I see those parts being the most challenging to locate now

T- Tops
Mike,
Not certain I can assist as the 78-80 Hurst Hatches are slightly smaller than the ones used on the 73 to 77 cars. As your roof holes are already made the ones I have would probably fall right through them. Per the clips, please send me the measurements of these, they just might be the same ones used on the 78 to 80 hatches despite the size difference of the glass. I might have some extras, could be a possibility.
Also, you had mentioned you may be in need of one top, is it the type that has a metal frame/edge all the way around it, or just the glass as an edge? Was it drivers or passengers side you needed? I have one of these in the basement and I think it's for the 73 to 77 cars.
Thx,
Gene
