The March of Dimes. the drawing is in November in Traverse City, Mi. so I would think that there might be a link through The March of Dimes website.

There is, but it is incredibly hard to find. You would think they have no interest in promoting this. Direct links are below:

Great pics as usual, Dan. The meet was fantastic as usual too! By far the biggest Olds swap meet in the country was bigger than ever this year too.
Did anyone get a count of the number of cars and swap spaces?

Here's a neat car that was there...
And for $4,000 you could have bought this 66 Tri Carb setup.

I would have taken more pics, but it took quite awhile to get through the swap meet, much bigger than before.

4-Speed, Here's a nice Starfire for you. I think the rims even look good on it. It's a low mileage car too... Check it out.

I have 3 pics. Great show but I spent way too much $$$$. It is hard to hold back at an all Olds swap meet.

'13 Homecoming pics

It was a great show! This was my third time attending. I really like the large 12" x 9" metal Oldsmobile Homecoming plaque that was given to the participants. It is so large, I couldn't scan the whole thing. Very nice!

Thank you to the organizers!

Great show, it was nice to NOT have to haul metal in and out this time. I got to see the cars.

Bought a Pontiac [only] thermostat housing, and an F-Eighty Five emblem in good shape. [anyone need this?]

One thing the mgt STILL needs to learn...
SHUT THE DAMN NOISE OFF for oh say 5-10m per hour. I would love to HEAR the curved dash Olds run. I have heard every Classic Oldie a million times, and it no longer enhances the experience if done NONSTOP. I would PAY for 5m of STFU on that PA system.

Nice to see a lot of police there too, keep them alcoholics under control.

Found a J-2 air cleaner for a friend that needed one. Found an NOS F-845 steering wheel for Milan. Saw a 8-hole intake f/s at the Vendor Who Chooses Not To Be Named. Algon injection?

Real '68 OAI air cleaner affordably priced.

Note the OIL CAN under the hood of the truck. The rockers are exposed, and you are expected to keep them cleaned and lubed.

I've got to agree. When they played Cher's "Bang, Bang" I wished that someone would poke my eardrums with a nail so I wouldn't have to hear anymore. But the sound did seem not as loud this year.

4-Speed, If you need me to check out the 65 Starfire, let me know I'm about 35 miles away. If I had the space I would buy it NOW... Looks really nice to me.. Heck I might just look at it tomorrow....

Thanks for posting all of those pics! Beautiful cars but I give extra kudos to the owners of those wagons. That's A LOT of car.

Also, thanks Starfire for the March of Dimes link. You gotta be in it to win it!

I put a link to last year posts about homecoming and e-mailed most of the board members, seems if you take the time to address the issues on both ends maybe something will change.

hahaha! That was funny.. I think some nice down time is when they do the auction. They need to shut that thing off when they start that!!! why does EVERYONE need to hear it?

But it was a awesome show!! I loved every min of it. Any one hear of the final number on who showed? I heard it may have been close to a record year? I'd love to see it grow even larger!
I look forward to this every year! Thanks again for everyone who helped put it together and was able to make it!!

The down side is minimal parking for spectators, I rode down with one buddy in his daily driver, when his 442 wouldn't start (was running fine the day before), he got so pissed at the lack of parking that he dropped me off, and went home...110 miles, without ever seeing the show. We followed another friend in his '68 442, so I had a ride back.

Yeah, I'll have to agree with you there. The show lot and swap meet set up is awesome, ( perhaps a little more organization, maybe go by year classes? ) and the swap meet area is set up nice, but it does feel like spectator parking was a after thought. Although, I'm not rightly sure what could be done seeings there is no real good parking lot in the area?

Agreed on the lack of spectator parking!!!

I arrived at 9:45, just 45 minutes after the official start time, and all legal spectator parking was already full. I have heard complaints in previous years about us parking on the grass, so I chose to respect that. I finally decided to register my car just so I could park it on the show field. But after sitting in line for 5 minutes I grew impatient and saw an empty spot in a lot reserved for some other purpose. I feel sorry for anyone who arrived after 10:30.

I hate to complain about a show that's obviously grown way beyond what the volunteers probably want to deal with, but there's got to be SOMETHING they can do to better accommodate spectators!
