Will this bumper work ?

I have the opportunity to get a bumper today for my 72 CS . Here is a photo of both bumpers .... The first pic is what I believe to be a 71 bumper , and the second pic is a shot of the one I have on the car . It looks to me that they are exactly the same except for the lenses . Would this be correct ?

I can not see the first picture but the 71 and 72 bumpers are the same. There is one with and one without cutouts for the exhaust but both years are the same.

Well here's a pic that I hope shows up this time . I'm glad they are the same bumpers , because the bumper I'm getting is real nice and it's free . ....

The 1971 and 1972 rear bumpers are exactly the same (assuming both are either notched for dual exhaust or straight). The lenses bolt in and can be interchanged from one bumper to the other. You can even mix and match if you feel creative.

FREE?!?!? I paid $100 for a rechromed '72 bumper a few years ago that was almost as nice as that 1

I'd say that's a great price for it....if there was a price!

Pictures can be deceiving . It turns out the bumper is not a whole lot better then the one I have on there . It has about 6 dents in it , two of them in real bad places , but can be fixed . It also has two small rust holes in it to .... It's still better then the one that's on there though . At least it's not bent three different ways . I'll be back at home by the weekend , so I will snap a better photo of it to capture some of these things that I speak of .
