On the road need help
Just picked up my new 75 Delta 88 and the left brake hose needs to be replaced before I hit the road for a trip home. Question is on the driver side where the rubber hose connects to the hard line there seems to be a special nut. Or do you loose the nut on the hard line side of the bracket
TIA

Found it in the manual on crazy about cars. What a PIA. It does loosen from the hard line side. Then you have to move the line to the side to remove the bracket to get the hose out.
Now to find a hose in the morning and get on the road.

Looks like you got it. Make sure to use a special line wrench on it so you do not round off the nut. If that happens, you are in deep crap. A line wrench and some taps with a rubber mallet should free it.
If possible you should change the other one, too. It will be as old and then you bleed brakes one time.
Glad you are replacing them now before they become a hazard later.

You prolly know this, but just to be safe I'm going to say it. You need to BLEED THE BRAKES after you complete this repair.
