Holley Pro Series Secondary Linkage
Holley Pro Series Secondary Linkage
Hey, I got another question that belongs in the "Performance" section lol!
Have any of you guys ever used the Holley Pro Series Adjustable secondary linkage on a 4150?
My problem: With the gas pedal on the floor, the primary throttle plates are vertical but the secondary throttle plates are about 1/8" from being vertical. If you open the throttle by hand they both open all the way, but not with the pedal. I have an adjustable bracket and Lokar throttle cable...there is no adjustment left to make the secondaries open completely.

Not all carbs open vertical on the secondary side (like a QJet). I wonder if this could be the case on a Holley? It's been so long since I had a Holley I've forgotten. From what I've read they should be straight up. Can you bend the linkage to do that?
I already bent the pedal...it's weird...I bent the pedal and have tried adjusting the throttle cable and bracket. I just can't seem to get the thing to open all the way by pulling the cable (stepping on pedal).
Anyone wanna come to Houston and mess with it?
lol!

If the primary throttle blades are vertical that's all she's going to move. The secondary linkage needs to be turned out (unscrewed) to extend the secondary blades to full open. I see there is also a second hoe it can be placed in for the same effect.
