1969 442 Wiring Diagarm

Hi, I am working on a 1969 Olds 442 with a manual trans. I bought a wiring diagram book from Year One but it has been reprinted so many times I cannot read what the color of the wire and color of the stripe and wire gauge is in the book. Would anyone have a wiring diagram from a service manual that they could scan and post as a file?

A scan may or may not come out clearly unless it can be enlarged. Why don't you bite the bullet and get your own 1969 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual? They're not that expensive considering the wealth of information in them. You may someday find yourself having to supply the service procedures to a "modern" mechanic who was probably in diapers when these cars were on the road if he was even alive.

Or have you tried to find someone familiar with a carburetor or a points ignition lately?

And in the meantime, why not join WildAboutCars and download this section for free?

If you are doing any work on the car, you should already have a 1969 Chassis Service Manual - an original, not a repro. The wiring diagram is in the CSM. If you don't have a CSM, used originals run $15-$25 on ebay.

hookem, I have a 69 442 conv. My question is when you turn your light switch, all the way to the left for courtesy lights, do both front and rear lights come on or just the rear? On my vehicle, only the rear courtesy lights come on.
