going to look at a 64 Cutlass

i am told this car will run and drive. i know nothing about a 64 cutlass other than this one is a 330 with a 4bbl and buckets and no A/C. he said the console is missing. are there any 64 Cutlass parts that i need to keep my eye out for that are harder to find than others? i hear the back bumper is a hard one to find? i don't plan to bring this one home but i have to at least look at it. he said it sit in his barn since 1988 and just decided to get it running.

It sounds like a cool find. I hope it gets saved, if not by you, then by someone. Post some photos of it if you can.

If this is from the UPS man, you are going to have to stop taking deliveries. LOL

I know of a 63 star fire, two door, console with tach. the car runs but needs lifter work, or maybe the rocker arm nuts have backed off a little.
This car is located at a local recking yard just south of Dallas for around 1,500.00

23 years of storage in 'mouse central'? I think it's going to have some other issues besides mechanical. If its been properly stored and varmint proofed it would be soooo cool. Another time machine find.

Eric, go back to the first part of this post - Just because
i don't plan to bring this one home
doesn't mean you won't. Maybe the price and conditions will be just right. OHHH, maybe this guy has a mint old delivery truck you could pass along to the UPS guy!!!! That would be poetic.

well i overcame my addiction. i didn't bring it home. if anyone wants it i can give you his number. he wants $1000 for it. it is not very good. he said it does run and drive but not really road worthy. i didn't start it. the floor pans don't look to bad. he did tell me about another 69 car that i will try to look at sometime.

Hmmm, that's a doggy car. Ruff, ruff, ruff..

Good choice Eric! he should have said 1k OBO. Don't know what the sheet metal salvage is like on that though. It's really neat though that the dash didn't change much from 64-67. Love the custom seat covers!
