Anything specific on a Toronado I'm not to sure about, but first things I usually look for is a good floor & good frame. Overall body condition, not to many holes, half decent interior. Then does it turn over/run, moves under its own pwr, etc., how many miles on the odometer.

Looking for info on whether there is a market for parts, or I should just crush it.

Please, please don't crush. Toros were a very special Oldsmobile. Sell it, part it or restore it.
Look around, how many do you see for auction or sale. I like uniqueness and rarity, rather have one then a 442 or Cutlass.(No offense guys). Also, nothing wilder then a front wheel burnout in a classic.
Too many of the classics get lost. Too many old engines get bored out or blown up.
Sorry for the sermon, but I am passionate about cars.

Well, I don't see any showstoppers here, the engine looks a bit rusty but that is easily fixed. Depends on how much damage is on the inside of the motor. The body looks really straight. If the price was right I'd snap it up. I don't know proper Toro pricing though. I'd offer the guy $500 and promise to tow it home and see what he says...maybe he just wants it off his property!

This was the first American front wheel drive since the 1937 Cord. With over 40000 made, parts should still be around, and finding someone that wants it should not be hard.

It is in Western WA, and Scotty B if you're close enough, it could be yours.

If you decide not to save it due to the 1/4 panel damage, there's a lot of good parts there. In the pictures I can see the front bumper looks good. The vacuum powered hideaway headlights. It looks like the stratobench seat which would be a 6 way power seat. It likely has power windows and door locks, maybe a power antenna. Since its a 1968-69 it would have a 455 with the large valve C heads. Check for front disc brakes, a scarce option that's in demand. Remote drivers door mirror. Tilt/tele steering column. Seat belts may have the carriage on the release buttons, those belts are in demand. Due to the economy people aren't spending as much money on their hobbies, but several years ago I dismantled a couple rusty 1966 Toronados and there was a lot of demand for parts and options. One more thing to consider before calling it scrap metal. John

I just noticed in one of the pictures, it looks like the seatback release to tilt the seatback forward is in the center of the seatback. If so that would make it a 1969. If you didn't save the complete seat, the seatbacks, headrests and skirting at the bottom are the same as the 1969-72 bucket seats. The complete seatback looks the same, but I think its different where it attaches to the bottom of the bench. I don't know if those can be converted or not. But Rambow is in Western Washington and he does upholstery work. He may be interested.

Looks to be a pretty straight body minus the quarter. I would be suspicious of the underside because of where it is setting. I would think it could be restored.

Looks like a 68. Lots of good parts. I found a Forged 455 crank in a 68 Toro. I got $300 for some plastic fillers under the lights. Trans is worth $250-350. Like i said, lots of good parts.

If you buy that car for $500, in my opinion (which is worth absolutely nothing) you have no risk. If there is not a lot rust underneath, it certainly looks worthy of restoration. These thing would run too. If it is rusty, there are lots of good parts.

You guys are probably right on the year, just going off what the guy told me. I will probably pick it up. I am assuming there is a classified section on here, or is Ebay the way to go?

I did not crawl under it. There is damage to the rear quarter and the rear bumper has an issue, not sure if is worth saving or not. The doors latches were sticking so I didn't get inside of it. The rest of the of the body looks to be pretty solid. It does have power everything.

Gunrunner, since I live in Germany it is a tad far for me to drive over and get it. Besides, my next project will be a 67 Buick Riviera GS. After, of course, I finish my 72 442 Vert.
