No by the looks of the van and chebby truck on the left, I'd say in the 80's sometime.

The board behind the curved dash has the olds/cadillac logos so it would be safe to say that is B.O.C. time frame, which was formed in 1984. So after 1984 would be correct.

I was originally from Calumet Park. Mark Triffler purchased Steele-Hopf Olds at 127th & Western and if my memory serves me right there was a fire at the original location and opened a new sales floor down the street around 121st street which is where that picture is from..

That is a picture that I took from my '71 442 that I had recently purchased and was in Lansing for an Olds show.

Nice pictures of the auto shows Scot. They would look great on a poster hanging up in my garage.

You guys gotta remember that this stuff is still gibberish to me but try to open the above link......
That is me in our old driveway in 1964 or 1965.
PLEASE bear with me as it took me a while to get this far and honestly, I doubt if I could do it again.
Let me know what you all think.

I tried for hours to do what I did, and in seconds you do it! Are you available for tutoring? Today I taught myself how to scan the pics in the computer and did get them here, but not as good as you. I'm not givin' up!!!

Dave try this

* click the 'go advanced' tab
* Press the icon that looks like a paper clip; and A 'Manage Attachments' box will appear
* Choose (navigate on your computer to where the pics are stored) and hit 'open'. repeat for all 5 pics.
* Hit 'upload'. It may take a bit of time depending on your pic resolution. If you have ultra high res, you will have to 'resize' them with your picture editor to a 1024X768 size for the C.O. server to accept them.
* Close the "manage attachments' box.
* Preview your post and the images will be at the bottom
* Hit 'submit post' and the thread will have the images installed at the bottom. Unfortunately you can only do 5 pics at a time this way.

If you have the pics hosted on another web server?
* Copy the IMG url and Press the icon that looks like an envelope with mountains on it. Paste the URL into that box and hit 'ok'. You can install up to 20 images this way.
* Be sure to preview your work.
* Make sure the images don't carry on across the page, stack them for easier viewing.

Thanks Dave but it took me a few minutes too.

I use imageshack to upload all my pics so I'm used to doing it the "old fashioned" way. By doing it that way you learn how to post pics from anywhere. I couldn't get the link to work either so I went to your user profile and found the pic there. Then I clicked on it to open it, right clicked on the pic to get the "properties" and then highlighted and copied the properties (which is the URL). I had to click on the pic twice to get the URL correct so it would work. Once I copied the URL I type:

The "URL" is what I paste. That will post the pic right on the page without having to click on a URL to open it

Correct Mike, I just copy almost any picture on the internet by right clicking on your mouse over the picture and selecting "copy image location" then come back to the thread on Classic Olds and click and then right click and then click paste and then click okay and voila

I'll keep trying. Soon, I am going to have a LOT of time to practice.....I go in Wednesday for major back surgery, and from what I am told, I could be down for 12 weeks. I have been fighting this and prolonging the inevitable for quite some time (many, many years). Please keep your fingers crossed.
Thanks for the pic help. I have some more to scan and post, and hopefully, with practice will get it right.

Scot, or anyone, in the picture of Templeton Olds, there's a Delta Pace Car on the left hand side of the picture. Does it look like it has a fabric roof on it? The real PC had a modified roof where the roof and pillar were missing back to the sail panel. Could this be one of those cars? Did the real PC have roll up windows?

A quick search and I answer my own question

1977 Delta 88

1977 was the fourth of four years that Olds served as the official pace car to the Indy 500 during the 1970's - more than any other manufacturer! The car used for the 61st Indy 500 was a 77 Olds Delta 88 Targa Top driven by James Garner. The car featured a unique targa top design that would not be available on the replicas. Bucket seats and console mounted shifter were also unique to the pace car.

Oldsmobile made a limited amount of replicas available for sale. The package cost $914 and was only available on model N37, the Delta 88 Royale coupe.
The option code was W44
W44 included:
Special Paint Scheme - silver and black with red accent striping Flat black window/door frames, headlamp housings, grilles and door pull inserts and taillight housings.
Aluminum hood
L80 403 Rocket V8 engine
N72 Red Sport Wheels
QZP Special GR70-15 Silhouette Raised White Letter Tires
N34 Sport Steering Wheel
D35 Body color sport mirrors
The paint code was 13-13 without the vinyl top, 13-BB with the vinyl top. The vinyl top only came in black and ran from the rear edge of the side 1/4 windows forward.
Trim code 45 was the standard bench seat.
Trim code 65 was the available split bench seat. All interiors were firethorn red velour.
Option W43 was the Pace Car Decal package @ $40 and included 2 door decals and 2 sail panel Indy track decals.
