Question looking for 1966 hidden vin locations

Trying to help decipher a friends car & we like to see if his frame has been swapped or not.

Can anyone tell me where the hidden vin stampings on the frame were in 1966 & 67? I know i'll have to use mirrors and wreck my back and still may not be able to see them, but its worth a try.

Thanks-
Ben

I know my 66 442 was on the top of the frame just in front of the left rear wheel. It would be close to where the frame begins to go straight. I saw it with the body off. Hard for me to believe you can see it with the body on.

Haven't looked on the 66, but I had a 64 Skylark I looked at. As stated before it was on top of the frame, mine was around the rear of the door opening on a comvertible. Like you said, good light and mirror, I found it.

Sorry. in my reply I indicated the number was in front of the left wheel, however I meant the right rear wheel.

The vin # on a 66 is on the left drivers side frame rail. It can be either behind or before the kick up for the rear axle. The part #'s/date codes are on the left vertical side of the frame near the rear. The vin #'s are on the top area and can be seen with a mirror.
