Hidden V.I.N. Number Locations?

Hidden V.I.N. Number Locations?
I know this discussion has been held before, but, I've yet to see a definitive answer on
all the locations on body sheet metal, frame and where ever else numbers might be hidden.
I'm sure the answers will vary depending on the year model in question.
I'm interested in 1964-72.
The location on top of the frame behind the rear wheel seems to be a consensus.
I've also heard in the rear inner (or outer?) wheel house, somewhere in the rocker panel area
and the passenger compartment floorboard.
I personally haven't seen a number in those areas.
Good to know where to look when purchasing a car.
Any input on this subject would be interesting and appreciated.

other than the actual VIN tag this was the only other place the VIN was stamped on 68 Lansing cars

The stampings on the outside of the frame at the rear are frame vendor stamps denoting part number, supplier (AO Smith or Parrish), which line at their plant, and date/shift. It varied from year to year.
The BOP plants did things a little different since they build multiple makes in the same plant.

On my Lansing-built '70 442, there's a VIN stamp on the driver's side frame rail, as Dave posted. However, mine's on the outboard side of the rail, not the top, and is clearly visible without removing the body or using a mirror.
As I recall, it's about 8" forward of the rear corner of the door.
