HEI dimensions

I need to find out what the installed height is for a GM HEI in a small block (block to the top of the dist) and what is the diameter of the cap.

No one has an old dead HEI in there junk pile? I just need the hieght and diameter.

I've got a 350 4bbl engine with an HEI in it. I'll get measurements and a photo for you this morning. John

Hi Jeff
I didn't read your message closely enough, so I missed the measurement of height. Looks like 9 1/2" from the lip of the block where it bolts to the transmission, should be pretty close to the mounting point of the distributor.
