I think I have one too. Trying sticky traps because it is eating the peanutbutter off the trap and not tripping it.

Almost every fall it seems people get mice in their homes in our neighborhood. Last year my next door neighbor, the year before the guy down the street, this year we got some. I called Terminix in and they set poison out. The guy said one feeding will do it. I found three dead mice in the middle of the room in separate rooms on separate days following that. It seems like the ate, got disoriented and went out to the middle of the room. How lucky! I don't know if that is common behavior or not but it might be something to consider (using poison) if traps don't work.

I have a neighbor who has a pest control business and he gave me a tip that has always worked. A piece of a slim jim. They can't get them unhooked from the trap without tripping it.

You could try a rat zapper:

Make sure all windows are closed, doors closed all the way and there are no surprise holes in the floor or quarters where the critters can get in.
I once had a bird get in my Ford and left used food instead... Made sure I kept the windows up after that...

I used a 3 prong attack.

Stuff Bounce dryer sheet under seats, in trunk, and glove box. Add Irish Spring soap cakes.

Then I made these little boxes out of scrap lumber and screwed a tuna fish can to the floor. The lid has a pin in it so it slides to open to refill the poison in the tuna fish can.

Dryer sheets do work, as does putting some moth ***** in a old sock under the car, they do make lavender scented ones that do not smell as bad as the original ones. We put these under the hoods of our snowmobiles for the summer and in our trailer during the winter, no mice.
