1956 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight

Vin# 568M41703

1956 Super 88 (8) built in Lansing Michigan 41703 car built that year

Under the tag

Oldsmobile division
General motors corporation
Lasing Mich
Style No 56-36690: 1956 3=Oldsmobile, 6=88, 69= 4-door sedan, the "0" is actually a "D" which indicates Deluxe (or Super) 88

Body No L13185: 13185th Eighty Eight 4-door sedan body (3669) produced at Lansing MI Fisher plant. (Ninety Eights are 3069)

Trim No 381: Plain gray bolster with gray pattern cloth upholstery

Paint No 70: Turquoise Poly (metallic) which indicates your car was probably a solid color originally. Turquoise Poly/Alcan White would have been 70-60 on the trim tag. Look to see if there's signs of overspray or taping off chrome trim on the white parts. Plus, these years the roof was usually the same as lower body color on two tone jobs. Besides- figure after 54 years it's probably been painted at least once.

Top: indicates color of convertible top

Acc: indicates factory installed accessories that would have required Fisher Body to make provisions for them- airconditioning, PW/PSeat, things like that.

Body by fisher: Self explanatory.
