Adding fan shroud problem

I would like to add a fan shroud to my 70 Cutlass.It originally came without one.Do I have to get a different core support by any chance to add a shroud? What confuses me is, the original top plate has two holes matching the two top holes on the fan shroud, but there are no mounting "tabs" on the core support for the bottom shroud mounting points. Any advice appreciated.
(Correctionriginal top plate had no matching holes for the shroud.)(Too many conundrums to figure out causing lapses in memory.)

they are just simple tabs on the core support of my 72. can you simply add a set that would work?

is this a numbers matching type car or simply a driver?

It's numbers matching and yes it appears that the tabs can be added and there will be just enuf clearance.( My scumbag bodyman wannabe, damaged the rad and now I have a 4 row rad with my old tanks...used to be a three row according to the rad shop.){I paid the repair bill...don't ask!}

The tabs are available from Motor City Supercars. A.K.A. Inline Tube. Is your car a W31? Without a shroud?

Yes, it's a straight from the factory W31.Yes, it came without a shroud and the mounting tabs.I kinda think it should have had one, but maybe with our cool Canadian weather they thought I didn't need one?

It gets plenty hot in Canada, been there a few times in the summer.
A W-31 should have a fan shroud and a four row radiator stock. Something's not right.

Hmmm...a rarity!I too thought that I should have a fan shroud, so I'm installing one! I'm also of the opinion that H.D. cooling systems were installed on cars with 3.91 to 5.00 axle ratios or air conditioned units.(I've already been wrong once today, may as well make it twice!)

*W31 Heavy duty rad ( included with G92 and G88 axle.)*
*4.33 to 5.00 axle ratio must have been "five" row* jk

Therefore, GM owes me a four row rad and a shroud complete with tabs! LOLZ!!!
