Last week I drove the 442 in to work, knowing that I wanted to take as many opportunities as I could before the weather changed to have it out. What I didn't think about, was this particular day was also when the photographer was coming in for "action shots" for the new company website. I saw them walking around and texted the person walking around with them throwing out the fact that the Olds was in the lot and they should grab a few pictures of it in front of the sign. Primarily, so that if they did, we could send them to the family member (of the family owned company I work for) to just further remind him what he had sitting & rotting in his barn. He took it serious, and we ended up snapping a few shots outside of the shipping docks next to my office...
Not sure whether they'll get used for the website, but this is the first time I've ever really had professional photos taken of one of my vehicles..and holy smokes this thing looks good! If only I would've gotten a picture taken while doing a nice long burnout..ha!
Very nice.
what's the comment on the car was in their barn rotting?
I bought this car from one of the owners of the company. He had bought it, pulled the original engine/trans in favor of a blueprint 454. He never got that installed though, and instead pushed the car into one of his barns and let it sit for about 15 years. The original engine/trans were on a pallet uncovered in a different barn, and the 454 was on a shelf at work.
