Interior Trim Codes

Gentlemen how can you tell if a 69 cutlass s has buckets or bench based upon the numbers on the cowl plate. I see color and material (vinyl or cloth) differentiation only

Rather than hijacking someone else's thread about a completely different car, here's your very own thread. In MOST cases, the trim code on the cowl tag will be different for bench or bucket seats. Here's the trim code list for the 1969 model year. Note that under Cutlass, the code for black bucket seats is 930; for black bench seat is 940. That continues as you follow down each column: blue buckets are 933, blue bench is 333 or 943 (depending on body style), etc.

The thread was asking about a 1967 Cutlass VIN. You asked about interiors for a 1969 Cutlass. What would you call it?
Look, besides being rude to the person who asked the original question, asking two unrelated questions about two different cars in the same thread usually ends up in confusion and incorrect answers.
