I was browsing the photos on my phone and came across this pic I took in Dec. 2019. I've already put 8k+ miles on it since then. I'm glad I was driving my Olds during that time instead of the wife's Kia!
Vote and SHOW us how many miles your Olds has (pics are wanted). If you say your Olds has 500k+ miles you better post a pic of the pedals too.
It's showing 92K on the odometer now. Was around 66K when I bought it in 1990 and it was very obvious it had rolled over. Everything except the steering gear has been rebuilt or replaced at least once since I bought it.
My '69 has 99,001.7 original miles so I cast a vote for under 100K miles. My '68 had 146K miles on it when we took it apart and it's had a little over 2900 miles on it since we finished restoration in 2007.
123,500 + miles, to my knowledge I am the fourth owner of the Olds and the mileage is actual. No known rebuilds. ( Apparently sat for chunks of time here and there over the years.)
For those that browse without login in, it's a 1969 Cutlass Supreme Holiday Coupe 310HP 350 CID THM350, which I feel runs very well. Yes its showing some age, a little rumbling at speed, a bit of a delay when you put it into reverse, slight lifter tick occasionally. But it currently runs as quick as the original 442 did in road tests, and I can jump in it this second go cross country to California and back with no worries in my opinion.
I bought it with 103,000 + miles, about 6 years ago.
My '68 4-4-2 has 68057 on the ODO. It was in a front-ender of some sort before I bought it. I found Buick parts in the front left wheel and frame area that appears worked over. I suspect the original/matching engine has been apart due to the fact that the heads and intake, and upper engine: everything visible from above, are all bronze. I replaced an aftermarket timing set showing minimal wear, with a new Cloyes set. But get this, the bottom half of the block was painted gold for some reason.. When I had it open I could tell the rubber intake seal corners had blown at some point significantly prior to black sealant being squeezed into the visible holes. All the rods show some slight rust pitting. The rods closest to the corners are the worst, then they get better as you move toward the center of the block. "Weird," I thought.

Mileage in itself is irrelevant with most of these old cars. It really is how much of it has been repaired or replaced. I've seen high mileage cars that still look and run great, compared to some low mileage cars that had been hit more times than Joe Lewis, rode hard, and put up wet. Lots are TMU as the odometer only goes to 99999 and roles over, some may have gone over more than once. Some may have been driven with the cable broken, replaced. or god forbid, rolled back.
