The '70 Convertible has a 455, 471CID. Edelbrock heads (inaugural edition from waaay back), Knowltons ThunderHeads Stage V CNC port work (12.5:1 comp). Edelbrock Victor intake, 1150 Dominator (2-circuit, built myself, Hi Milan...if you are still here...), E85, Eagle rods, JE pistons, Eagle crank, Rocket Racing full bottom end girdle, steel aftermarket main caps, ARP all around...solid roller cam, Pac springs, T&D shaft rockers. TH400 (heavy SOB), Coan billet converter, 5200 stall, 12-bolt, 4:11...3400#'s with me in the seat (car was lighter, but I've added weight here and there and the driver has too). This is the 9th year on the motor; I'll re-ring it this winter but otherwise it's been bullet-proof. Spin it to 7000; John at Rocket Racing -- no chance to do that without your main girdle in there. Great piece...

Typically runs 10.20's, 126-128 (it's been faster 10.09/132). Sixty foot depends on if front or rear tires trip the beam..
That vid was just last weekend; new Coan converter...hit like a mule kick. Sure, I'd run faster calming it down but I'm having too much fun with it. It's been on the rear wheels the last three years, just not this big...converters matter.
Took years to figure out the suspension needed to do what it does without breaking sh*t and going straight...and I broke a lot along the way learning. Still has all factory located suspension...with some Alf Weibe, Santhruff and Strange Engineering thrown in....even after that wheelstand, the headers remain round on the bottom (American Racing stainless 2").

Lands pretty soft considering....

Where is the car from ? MSRA Weekend 2019 made me wonder when it was. Around here, MSRA stands for Minnesota Street Rod Association. They sponsor at HUGE car show that draws about 11-12,000 cars (cars 1964 and older, plus street rods) in June every year at the state fair grounds.
