Delco 2700 ETR Radio Clock Setting

I have the Delco 2700 ETR in my 1985 Olds 88, with the cassette and no SET button. From my research, with ignition on, radio off, to set the clock I need to pull SCAN for changing the hour, and SEEK to change the minute. What else I am supposed to do in addition to this is not clear. Some people say to turn either the volume **** or tuning **** while SCAN or SEEK is pulled out...It doesn't work. I've also tried every other combination of that and pushing/pulling SCAN/SEEK or the presets...But nothing works.

When I pull out the SCAN button, the hour digit goes dark, same for the minute digit with SEEK, indicating something is happening, but I am at a loss to actually change the time. Does anyone know the full procedure for this particular radio?

I managed to change the clock. I drove home, then tried pulling the SCAN button again. Immediately after pulling SCAN, it started incrementing the hour digit. Pulling the SEEK digit initially still just blacked out minute digit with no incrementing (as previously). However, I discovered that by putting a slight upward pressure on the SEEK button while pulling it back caused it to start incrementing. I had to play around with the exact sideways pressure to reliably increment the minute to the correct time.

It looks like it was just a loose button connection of some sort, though I find it interesting that it appears that pulling the SCAN/SEEK buttons appears to throw two poles, apparently one that causes the digit in question to go black (either directly or indirectly) and another that actually increments it. My guess is the second pole that increments the digit was not contact previously, which caused the digit to never blink on. All conjecture, but for now I'm satisfied enough that it works.
