plan on hitting up my local salvage yard looking for a air conditioner bracket and a compressor that will fit a 71 olds 455 passenger side mount. does anyone know if a 307 bracket and compressor will interchange with this engine, are if there's another year or model that will work

This is pic of brackets, some Alt brackets are in the pic, not sure if you need those or not. Comp bracket needs cleaning will attempt that if you need them I also have a good working A 6 com.

Leroy, hopefully Toymobile's brackets are from a BBO. 307 brackets will not fit on a 455. The deck height is different.

 

More to the point, the 307 brackets are for the R4 compressor and won't fit the monster A6 compressor used on the 1971 cars.
