1968 ho metal dashboard.

Hello need some advice. The speaker area of the dashboard is it flat black beyond dashpad? Is the lower dash semi gloss . Are the pin stripes from side to side painted all the way. Pictures advice welcomed.

Here's what I think I know: Top of dash/speaker area is flat and might be kind of textured to limit glare. Front of dash is a semi-gloss, but I couldn't give you a good reference paint to replicate the correct sheen. The pinstripes are tape, they go down the sides of the dash, curve, then run across with a break at the steering column.

I used SEM Landua Black on the whole dash and it was a perfect match to the bottom. With the top in direct sunlight I don't know how you could ever tell what it should have been. This is the first time I've even heard that the top of the dash was a different finish than the bottom.

Original dash pin stripe pics from my 68. It's very unlikely my car had a dash restoration before I got it

The PIM indicates different paints for upper / lower instrument panel... see attached snip. If you trace that back a few pages, the codes match to flat upper, semi-gloss lower.
