They Always Return to the Scene of the Crime
FYI: Our favorite "low mileage, original owner, documented, 442 convertible", always has a story , car salesman from Itasca, Illinois, has returned to sell another one of his cars.
He had the " most documted pace car, then a ''72 442 convertible, factory air, U code, W29 car", then a '71 Viking Blue 442 Convertible, with factory reverse stripes, and the latest on http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=264116995510&cat egory=15287&pm=1&ds=0&t=1546568879000&ver=0&csphea der=1
He advertises the cars being sold from Itacha, Illinois, except the '71 Viking Blue convertible which mysteriously moved from Itacha, Illinois to Maine.
I was ready to buy the original, documented, '72 factory U code convertible 442, W29 option until another member looked at the car and told me that the car looked like it blasted with a shotgun, and that's only the beginning. Another reputable member told me to stay away from the guy and he was right.
The seller uses multiple names and can't keep his story or name straight.

I must admit that car looks pretty nice and doesn't seem like BS. I dont know anything about the seller or the previous cars. Do you think he is misrepresenting the car and making false claims about it or is this a scam and the car doesn't exist for sale?

I thought the same until the '72 documented 44 documented U code convertibe was physically seen, ot the gorgeous photographs.
There are other vthreads about this seller.
I'm sure others who know of this guy and his antics, will contribute.
I think the other threads were in the cars wanted or cars for sale section.
Bottom line: the seller is not trustworthy. I'm hesitant buying a used car from a dealer. This guy is bad news!! Check out others experiences.

I found this ( 71 442 ad ) but it no longer shows any pictures or videos. It appears the seller has removed the ad. I think this is the same car (blue with white interior?) that he tried to pass off as original unmolested and the thing was complete trash.
