My car is a 67 CS Conv. with a 71 Olds 350 engine
I was pulling parts off a 76 Toro. I was after the accessory drive and found a flexible fan shroud with a 7 blade fan. Is this normal? Would it be worthwhile to put the 7 blade fan in place of the 6 blade on the CS. The shroud covers about 2/3 of the radiator. The rear portion of the shroud is mounted to 4 legs coming off the front of the motor. I've never seen this before. Did they do this to tighten up the blade tip clearance so the fan would move air better? Should I try to adapt the shroud too? I'm thinking just the fan. The shroud seems to me to be too much trouble.
